The Demba Ba Transfer Rumour Thread

I have it from a very reputable source that we could be swapping Demba in january, for one of the world's hottest prospects (no literally, look him up and tell me he isn't sexy, you can't), Sebastian Rajalakso. Can't find the article on it, but here's one from a reliable journalist that states we've been linked to the left winger (who can also play as a striker);

Obviously, I'd love to keep Ba and add Seb, but Rajalakso is a wonderful player, and Demba seems content on being cold considering he's freezing himself out of Newcastle. Could work!

We have seen this in reporting time and time again, selective quotes and statements taken completely out of context. It is also worth remembering that this interview was probably conducted in French and then "translated".
These stories are seldom accurate representations of what was actually said or more importantly meant.
From a reporting point of view it does not attract attention to say Demba Ba speaks well of Newcastle and is happy to stay. When they can sensationalise with quotes like, Demba Ba wants Arsenal move.
Personally l take them all with a very large pinch of salt. The only true thing, is that the decision is for Ba to take.
Seems to me that if he wants to stay, he will inform his representatives of that and instruct them to broker the best deal that NUFC will offer. Only time will tell when it comes to Demba and whilst it would be great if a deal was agreed and he stayed, we also have weaknesses in the side that need to be addressed with equal vigor.

Suggestion is Demba Ba will be offered a new contract (without clause) if he stays after January window #nufc
