I know, I know - straw clutching and all that, but if Chelsea get Zappacosta and Drinkwater, do you think there could be a last minute deal for Kenedy?
I think the paperwork will be done and ready tbf. The only problem is us. Charnley has knocked off for the day so will be at a kebab shop now ordering a large doner.
Ross Barkley pulls out of move to Chelsea. There's still hope for us then lads! And 37 minutes left for Fabregas to sign his NUFC contract.
The funny/not funny thing is that not one team wants to buy any of our players, relegation, promotion and we haven't brought anyone on going up,sold everyone and some have got better ie Ritchie,Clark,Hayden(maybe forgot some lads) but nothing to offer.Remember coming up in the 90's Kelly,Cole,O'Brien, the money you'd have to pay for them lads now on present terms and more importantly the decent wage they'd get now,Cole be fine but bet other 2 lads haven't a bob.
To be fair is this just not an effective way of getting rid of Rafa on an expensive contract. You can bet Mike won't we done on a claim this time. At least he's learning.
If it got that bad I could see Rafa just mouthing off non stop in interviews, picking **** teams and making Mike look like a ****. I suspect he could be very political when he wanted to be.
I'd rather he just walk out. 99% chance nothing will change by him doing that, but 100% chance nothing will with him here.
It's 100% nothing will change either way with regards MA. More chance of surviving with Rafa though, so I hope he doesn't walk.
Somehow managed to push through the deadline hour deals of shipping out Krul and Lazaar. Which makes the one and only Dummett the longest serving player on our books.
Well that's been a ****ty end to the transfer window. There is (a bit) of money there to spend, and certainly loan deals are within our reach, but to get nobody in highlights that something is seriously lacking at the club in our transfer negotiating ability. Charnley must be to blame because it certainly seems that Rafa has done his bit in identifying targets, but you also have to wonder if we actually have enough people involved at the club to actually do all the deals since we are still being run on a shoestring. It will be interesting to see how Rafa reacts to all this because he was meant to be wanting 3 more players.
To be fair, if we do avoid relegation then we might be in a position to buy some decent players next year. Surviving is going to be a bihg ask though with this squad.
Can we not still get an emergency loan. Surely the league can it is an emergency having such a **** squad?
