So bye bye, playoffs now pie in the sky....???Was the defeat on Saturday that bad?
In saying that though... Taking the glass half full approach I'd also look at Wednesday, Charlton, Pompey, Wigan, Sunderland, Ipswich and Bolton as teams that we've likewise had many encounters with that are still languishing below us, despite our shortcomings in recent years.I made my points not long after coming home and elaborated on the transfer window thread.
Watching the PL teams zipping it around over the weekend brought it home how many light years we are away from teams who we were playing not that long ago in the Championship. Depressing![]()

The fact that there's two relatively recent FA Cup winners in that list, not to mention clubs with far greater Premier League history than us goes to show we're not doing too bad in some respects.

Taking previous comments on threads and your post in the 23's thread, I'm beginning to wonder if you need to creat a new thread entitled something like "Sparky's Reasons To Be Cheerful" so we call start listing the good stuff going on right now...Looks like that glass is more than half full........![]()

One thing it did prove we need people who can defend, Morrison and Nelson are two slow, and it showed on saturday with their performance Nelson cant pass, and im sorry to say but our captain has had his day, he has been a good servant to this club but i think it is time for younger players .
