I'm fed up reading and hearing about this. If he wants to leave he should leave. We've turned him into one of the best keepers in the world. I have bad hayfever today. I hope this saga doesn't last til deadline day.

I'm disgusted by this whole saga. And I'm disgusted with my disgust.

You could say I'm De Gea'usted... or that I'm De Gea'usted by my De Gea'ust over De Gea!

There is a growing sense of inevitability about his move to RM. All he had to do these last few weeks was to put out a statement to say he was staying/signing the new deal and that would have killed off the speculation. So as he hasn't, it is safe to presume he will leave and that after the Euro qualifiers this weekend things will speed up. Having said all that, and considering how valuable he was to us this season with his performances, I still don't think his leaving will create as big a problem as people think, and certainly not as big a problem as might have been the case had Peter Schmeichel left us in his prime

I think you are right.
Most of the reason why De Gea was called upon so much, and was so important for you last season, was because of deficiencies in covering your defence.
One has to think (or hope, if you're a United fan), that LvG will rectify or atleast improve upon this a great deal in the summer. Meaning that a super goal keeper will be less of a priority, as he will most likely have to work less than De gea did.

Some media reports that Courtois is pushing for a move to Real this summer as he's worried that if DDG goes there he'll never get a chance to play for a big club. Whilst it's certainly media gossip it would be very funny if true!

That's quite embarrassing - at least De Gea waited until Real showed interest before saying he'd like to return to Spain. Courtois is their second or third choice and he's still trying to force a move <laugh>

Like you say, it probably won't happen, but it would be hilarious if Courtois managed it. Particularly if Cech has already left when he does.

If De Gea leaves Valdes will be first choice with lindegard as back up probably or some young English keeper from the U21s.

I hear Bolton have a top keeper that might be available... best get in there quick before another club snap him up on a free :bandit:

No need to worry about replacements. Van Gaal to play 3 at the back with one of them rush goalie.

It WILL work godammit!!! [HASHTAG]#LVGknows[/HASHTAG]
