He's not that bad but i don't rate him much so i would rather gamble and play Martin. He looked more than compossed in the few appearences he has had.

Another player who some of us seem to want to slate along with Forte. Has done well in the preseason, actually looked assured at left back when moved to that position towards the end of the WBA game. A good squad player; useful because of being left-footed. A first team choice - possibly not - but good to have on the bench.

If they are going to sign a new CB I wish they would hurry up, time is running out.

SAINTDON13 - Certainly too late for the opener against LUFC.

I don't think there's anything wrong with giving Seaborne a chance. If he does well, we may not need a centre-back. However, if he does not impress, we can go out and buy a new CB. I do think he will be better suited to the Championship than League One.

He's done well pre-season but I think he'll be liable to make mistakes when it comes to playing against some of the Championship's better strikers. A centre-half with experience at this level would be ideal.

There are weaker players in our first-team squad than Seaborne.

Will I be disappointed if Seaborne starts against Leeds? No. Will I be disappointed if Seaborne is a regular starter this season? Most probably.

I'm not anti-Seaborne, I just want us to go and sign a CB as good - or even better - than Fonte. If you've got a solid back triangle, GK-CB-CB (e.g. Niemi, Lundekvam, Svensson), then you can really look to start going places. You're rarely going to succeed without one, regardless of who else is in your squad. Just ask Arsenal fans.

Seaborne has had a great pre season. Its seems a lot of people on here rate him. Same young blinkered Seaborne bashers. Shows this will not change even when he has performed well. Can't see that you can call him rubbish, when he has done so well pre season. He looks assured alongside Fonte & is obviously Adkins first choice over Jaidi & Martin. Seaborne has proved he can partner Fonte well. Think he is a player that needs to play every week to continue to improve & if a new CB arrives think at his age, this will be detrimental to his development. Hard to make an impact as a CB from the bench, lot easier if you are a midfielder or striker. Same with Martin, hope he gets the chance to go out on loan as he needs games as well to develop.

Think we will see the No5 arrive this week.
