If the Telegragh have published before they have anything else showing JFH did or signed anything, coupled with JFH already issueing his statement denying doing anything wrong, could give the Club big problems.
Does anyone know the length of the video that they've published so far? Is the 1:38 clip the longest or is there more? That's the only one I've been able to view at the moment
Why is it that any drama always involves QPR? I'm not convinced the Telegraph would trouble themselves with something so petty unless they had something bigger attached.
At best a conflict of interest and some tax avoidance scheme. At worst he's completely crooked. The way everyone has responded makes me think they will stick by JFH unless something bigger and more tangibly illegal gets thrown at him. Despite wanting the stability at the club I find this very sickening and can't give him my backing any longer. Unless he walks I think it will be a messy and damaging couple of months until his year is up and then who knows what next.
You have to ask yourself, if JFH is bad, one can only surmise that the whole lot of them are bad. Hughes, Warnock maybe ............... certainly, like night follows day, Redknapp would be up to his neck but JFH? I really would not have picked it. Quite speechless in truth. The club have no choice but to end his contract, not because he is a poor manager ...... simply because he is now tainted goods. It's all about perception. Sponsors don't want anything to do with having a bad image.
Nothing to see here, move along please. I just don't get it, I don't see that he did anything that would make it remotely a sacking offence. The Telegraph should be ashamed of itself.
I've woken up......... checked under my pyjamas it appears I'm still blue and white. I'm still here....stupid nickname "The Ducks" anyway
With all due respect, it is a major conflict of interest, it is a very bad look for both JFH and the club. There is no way he can stay. Again, think from a sponsers view.
I honestly don't see it. I'm no fan of JFH's but I'm not a hater either. If this was Warnock in our promotion winning season, I think it would be viewed differently by most.
Just watching the BBC.....they have focussed on the Barnsley guy, not even mentioned JFH, even quickly moving across his pages in Telegraph without mentioning his name. As though they are rather dubious of the strength of the claim. As said earlier...JFH case is looking greedy but much less tied on with string than Sam and Tommy Wright. Beginning to think he is going to fight it, it is going to be really messy...and very disruptive to the club. If he had taken a bung he would have gone...suspect he is fighting it and the club will stand by him...off to buy the Telegraph
I can't see that there will be any charge arising out of this and thus there will be nothing to fight. Could he possibly sue The Telegraph?
You seen JFH statement on the Official - it says full statement issued by his lawyers. He's already denied doing anything wrong and as the allegations are talk only, this could be a big mess. At the very least Jimmy was extremely stupid talking like that.
This incident provides no grounds for sacking and it is clear that the club supports him. He is on a 1 year rolling contract so we can get rid at any point I guess by paying him up for the year.
I am afraid that is a different issue...and now you will see the problem....a little thought experiment....... So on Saturday we lose 5-0 to Fulham........Tony and Sir Les had been worried about the team form and were talking last weekend if JFH had a future at the club....and had told him to turn it around. The club is now in a very difficult position....they want to get rid of him for football reasons...but any dismissal will look as though they are not supporting him! Especially if JFH goes to law...and is proved legally he had nothing to answer....the club has to be very very careful..... So in a strange way....this may have taken away any opportunity the club have to get rid of him...we may be stuck with JFH for quite sometime. All of you who were so gleeful 6hrs ago....it may get much worse for our little "albatross" football club
As he is not suspended this morning, I suspect he is staying. If they wanted to get rid of him, they would have suspended him in a heart beat last night. No money changed hands - as opposed the the Barnsley bloke. I think he is staying.
Even Wright has done nothing illegal. He may have done, but there is no way that he won't be declaring the £5,000 to HMRC now! However, the "famous eight" have still not been publicly named. Is this because the police are investigating & so the names are being witheld? As to what our club should do, I don't have a clue! On moral/ethical grounds I would prefer JFH to leave. However, I can't see that he would have broken his contract or acted outside the law. The club being "offered" players is not the same as signing those players. There has been no sugestion that he has received payments for players that any cclub he has managed have signed.
No money changed hands with Bent Sam either. I think this will drag on for ages, the worst possible outcome, because our club does nothing quickly and cleanly. As with Allardyce, it may be that technically he has done nothing wrong, but I, and I suspect most other people, operate on the principle of 'if it feels wrong, don't do it'. Begging people I barely knew to 'make me happy' with a cheque certainly lacks dignity. Only an idiot would not see that the £55k for a 'speech' was an intended clandestine back hander to sign certain players. ****ing Allardyce got a £1m pay off.
