Foxtrot Knight. 66/1 In touch in midfield, ridden and outpaced well over 1f out, rallied and stayed on again inside final furlong. 4th Missed out on a place by a nk and beat the 11/8 fav. Giving weight to the first 3. Seems like he's getting the hang of things.

Bollocks. It was either that one or Magic Hurricane and I was going to do one of my ****er bets but the odds weren't good enough.

Nass' horse ran very well today so maybe the Olly Stevens yard is going to get going??? I liked his NEXT GENERATION (20-1 Kempton 6.20) for its debut but it came home last!!! Better tonight maybe?

Thanks all. He ran better and wasn't given a hard race at all. Dodgy race it was though.

I have no idea what horses cost. Was just a stab. Surely he has loads of half brothers around though

Just spotted when I checked that it was a half sister not a half brother so that makes more sense. He is one of only four from the mare and the only one to race thus far!

To give you an idea hawk, Mouse Morris paid £200k for the top lot today. A Robin Des Pres gelding.

Bought by Highflyers, I see. Will be interesting to see who they were acting on behalf of. They have in the past made purchases on behalf of dear old Henry Ponsonby. Now how exciting would that be!

It never ceases to amaze me re purchase prices in the NH sphere as they seem, in the main, to have no ‘rhyme or reason’. 30,000 gns does seem ridiculously cheap in this instance. Like the first couple of offspring from Amaretto Rose who has been one of the best mares to run in the NH sphere in my lifetime (quadruple winner and went off very short for the ‘Supreme Novices’, a few years back, only for Mick Fitzgerald to totally stuff it up. Injury then the next season robbed her of a ‘Champion Hurdle’ bid). Both went for just peanuts I seem to recall.
