Oh Hali, Oh Hali, Oh Halicarnassus....Good old Hugh Bowman... (For goodness sake, my comment "Straight from the Tomb of Mausolus" was ridiculously prophetic. Halicarnassus now goes to stud in Turkey, apparently!).
you have to wonder about these people talking like their 50 where did the passion go the romance and excitement its not all about ratings i despair about the future when the young folk are so devoid of life and fun and joy why talk like your 50 years old when your 20 then there is me who is nearly 30 and still thinks like a 18 yr old LOL
Sorry, famouswise, but what on earth are you talking about? (Did you see that Czech girl blast Sharapova off the court? Did my heart good, that!).
No he wasn't fammy, but he was 11/10 with Corals earlier in the day, so I wasnt far wrong. They had a fair punt on him on track, couldn't believe it when I seen 4/6. But he done the buisness so the money was landed. My main reason for opposing him was a price thing, I made the first 2 5/4 and 6/4, so I wasn't going to take Evens or 11/10. I assume you must of had a punt on So You Think being that he is trained by AOB, I hope you had some of the 11/10
Some great talking points today. What more did Highland Castle have to do to get disqualified? I know you more or less have to put a tomohawk in the other horse's head these days (to paraphrase Sir Alex) but he badly interfered with the second and third. I agree that Queally should have been in a better position then he would have won despite the saddle slipping. The SYT and Workforce clash did not let us down and both horses came out of the race with a great deal of credit. Workforce v SNA should be interesting if it happens, famous, but you'd have to fancy Workforce on all known form. SNA would have to step up, I reckon.
famouswise: Good lad, muse along. That was a smashing race, the Eclipse. Couldn't figure it out myself between those two so just sat back and enjoyed it. SYT is a real champion, for sure. Stuck a bit of my winnings on the Old Newton Cup winner on ROTO's tip, Lutine Bell, to give Hugh Bowman another winner I hope).
Big bet on Nahrain 4:15 Sandown - Emptied all my accounts on him. So either win or bust, and i'll leave the betting alone for a while if it goes wrong.
I am on CAPE DOLLAR at Sandown, thought she was very unlucky at Ascot when denied a clear run, would have won that day. Not sure she has the class to beat the Varian horse but at the prices I will take a chance
With Montjeu's Fulkes the penny sometimes takes a long while to drop but when it does they go on a very upward curve and i believe epsom didn't suit SNA I would love to see Await The Dawn in the KG but they wanna market him as a US stallion so they wanna keep him at 10f and aim him at the classic but if he does turn up over 12f he will beat anything put in front of him
Having watched the race again, does anyone feel had it been SYT left out in front and Workforce coming from behind, that the result would have been different?
Nahrain... BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM Thanks famous. Just to re-jog my memory......What price was SYT at SP?
Dunno mate i backed him when the market was formed 9/4 BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMM
