From what I have heard Sess blows very hot and cold. Last season I would have said yes but not this season.

Danny Graham - not sure, seems to have lost his way following his move from the Swans. Still, could be useful at the right club.

Fletcher - When at Wolves I was thinking "get him" and he has scored a few this season so could be worth a punt perhaps.

Makes you wonder where Sunderland have gone wrong when they have those three leading the attack.

    Beaten to the Punch <whistle>

but in all seriousness Wickham has potential and I reckon in about 5 years time he'll be doing ok for a club like Fulham, West Brom etc.

Fletcher is pretty good though and would certainly add to you guys, scores a variety of goals and has looked good in a bang average Sunderland side. I also think Craig Gardner would add something in terms of box to box midfielder and Jack Colback looked like a good prospect when he was with us but I don't think either of those two would be the answer to your problems, but Fletcher would certainly be an asset

Heard he was looking for a 'better' deal at Villa. So depends how much money he'd be wanting. Would be a shrewd signing for sure though. Lambert would not let him go to Norwich without a fight however!

I think the clubs status may force Lambert's hand, should they get relegated. They can't offer much more money than we can, so if they were to go down, several players could jump ship, undoing all Lambert's good work with his youngsters. If they stay up, I don't see them being in as much trouble next season, so I imagine a lot of players will stay.

I'd take Sessegnong/Fletcher/Adam Johnson like a shot, even Phil Bardsley should we need to replace a right back. I imagine they're all on a lot of money though. Graham doesn't float my boat tbh.
    QPR players? No thanks
Reading players? Not that I can think of
Southampton players? Lallana, Shaw, Clyne, Lambert, and I'm pretty sure theres another guy in the middle I've forgotten.

In the little I've seen of him, James Ward-Prowse at Southampton looks to be a good prospect. Jason Puncheon or Gaston Ramirez the one your missing #BHW?

From Reading, perhaps Hal Robson-Kanu to provide competition for Pilks?

haha yeah, all three of those! No chance we'll get Ramirez though, he'll be back off to Italy. Puncheon maybe although isnt he trouble? Ward-Prowse is who I was thinking of.

Having looked it up I have no idea why I thought Puncheon was trouble. Good competition for Pilks.

    I don't really understand Johnson.

When he's playing well I think he's the best English winger out there. When he runs with the ball it is stuck to him and his general technique is exceptional for an English player.

He must be having some sort of issues in his life.

My Sunderland friends that I stayed with last weekend say that his main problem is, he needs to receive the ball while running at goal, but the team is playing so poorly that he is having to come back to try and get the ball!

Hopefully this is something a ball-playing DM (or DM pairing) can solve. If we can be more comfortable in possession in the centre of the park, it should allow the wingers to pick up the ball in more advanced positions, rather than on the halfway line.
