HIAGs got a fist up his arse. He's been going on about it for a couple of weeks on here now.

  5. “We just have to produce it more often. You had a sense of the Tottenham game especially, when you go down to 10 men in a big game like that, the belief and the character was there. The never-give-up spirit was there as well. In the derby matches, they could be the matches that turn your season and we may have turned the corner."
    (Walnut talking to the BBC)

This revelation came out after Walnut admitted that he had organised meetings with the other players, behind Wenger's back.

Lifting the player's motivation levels... Hm, forgive me if I am talking out of place, here, but isn't that the manager's job? Talk about a kick in the teeth for Wenger! All he has ever done is try to help Walnut, even giving in to his crazy notions that he's a striker and not a winger! Just shows that, in football, you never can trust anyone.

Anyway, that obscene betrayal aside, what Walnut has done is to predict that Arsenal have turned a corner. Brave words, indeed; and I know at least one keen-eyed Gooner on this board who will be ever watchful to see if this "prediction" comes "back" to "haunt" Walnut. I expect unremitting ridicule from him for Walnut, if it does.

  15. Pixie is confused, generally, in all of this, SD. He hasn't grasped the concept of metaphor. OCD sufferers tend to find that difficult.

... metaphor is not a 'concept' ... it is a figure of speech <whistle>

A metaphor can be anything. That's why it's a metaphor.
