Tbf, when they finished 3rd in a two horse race that team should have won two titles with a proper manager on board. The board were more intent on returns and the manager had no plan B nor the bollocks to rally them on. Wasted opportunity in my book.

I think you’re miles off challenging for a title but the squad is looking like they’re grafting for each other under Arteta, something that they’ve not done for about 15 years consistently.

 

Yeah we ain't challenging for the title, but for top 4 I mean. That won't be easy with Chelsea, yourselves and City strengthening. But Arteta looks like he's got us playing as a team and at the moment, we look difficult to beat.

But as I say, it's the first game of the season, so we'll see what happens.

 

Yeah Fulham are off straight back down, but Emery would have drawn that one.

 

In all fairness it was only Fulham who will probably struggle to amass 18 points this year but a win can foster spirit so good luck with that.
