I remember one Saints player saying that great care was taken to avoid muscular injuries to players despite the intensive training of Poch. They were individually assessed and their training adjusted accordingly. He never went into detail, but obviously some truth in it as our ex-players are being damaged by their new clubs.
Sad, isn't it? What have the Hoegh Osaka and Dejan Lovren got in common? Both stranded and going nowhere after leaving Southampton.
Does anyone else look at their old posts in resurrected thread and think 1) who is this moron, 2) what was I thinking, 3) what was I on, 4) obviously drinking or (extremely rarely) 5) written by a genius
Yep, I can certainly relate to points 1, 2, 3 & 4, but I dont recognise point 5 in any of my old posts?
Because of your post I looked for my post on this.... The first one i found was about pulling todgers
The 'Curse' league table. 1) Chambers - Taken a big step backwards 2) Lambo - Got paid, good for him 3) Shaw - Expectations & injuries harming his chances 4) Lovren - Mr Hollywood tackles is trying too hard 5) Lallana - Finding his feet
6) Paul Mitchell - targets either re-signed for saints or joining Arsenal, plus he has realised that the value of his targets needs to be a lot lower for Levy to sanction the spend 7) Physio - never been so busy since joining United - warn out and needs a holiday but has to cancel it to work on injured stars over the summer. 8) Dani Osvaldo - reputation as a nutter continues, but he is at least surrounded by like minded people in his homeland, fits in better and his sex life has increased in variety. 9) Gaston Ramirez - ah bless. Just doesn't look good in tiger stripes, but has proved me entirely wrong! 10) the forum poster saints fan who was giving up on the team after the Leicester game - I so hope you didn't bother watching the Villa match.
Yup Puncheons done really well and i'm happy for him. You could make a case for and against Pochettino seeing as its his first year but i dont think he'll be elevate them much further in truth. Has gradually improved the team but been so reliant on Kane to get him the over the line and Spurs arent a big enough club to stop stand-out players leaving when the big boys come knocking so he's more or less at his level now i think. Edit. Also forgot about Cork. Seems happy at Swans so good on him.
I posted on the Premier League thread during the Liverpool v Palace game that if his performance then was anything like his from, then he should get a call up. Incredible display.
Hell of a pass from Cork for the header from Gomis yesterday... when did he learn defense splitting passes?
Yeah we know that - In t other thread I added the line... "Once Roy finds him a top 4 club, or Liverpool/Spuds to sign for"
