odd buys considering the price paid and the fact our first team should always take priority, well in my opinion it should, its easier to bring youngsters into a team that is full of confidence and flying high. as said already i dont think Markovic is any better than what we currently have in Ibe, and we spent £20 fecking mill on him!! Llori, fair enough not as bad and only £6 mill odd, but again it was at a time when they money would have been better spent on first team players, and when are we going to start seeing Llori play? happy about Can, good buy, manquilo is worth a punt as well.
I have to say Markovic v ibe is an odd one. Ibe's main issue is he'd god awful at shooting. I remember a guy called mcmanaman who was the same. Markovic isn't god awful at shotoing cos nobody knows he always passes. If ilori is in so is alberto. thats 14 mil invested. I don't mind this 4/5/even 10 lads if 5/6 are out on loan increasing their experience and value but the core principle is now rodger sis blaming that fact he's got a young team even though he dressed it up as its not an excuse. If you sign nothing but boys and put them in a team with a bunch of pusses like johnsons and co then its a recipe for disaster. Can... decent... can he develop.... here is an example henderons 2011, no more than decent and developed. Manquillo... will he sign permanently. seems a decent player. arbeloa comes to mind for sure. moreno... decent young player, needs an lot of work form a good coach. needs backing too. too many times he's been dropped... its affecting him IMO. Ilori... really don't know... haven't seen enough yet. Markovic... i don't get it 20 mil for a player who's worse than sterling, about the same as ibe and plays the same role as lallana who you spunked 25mil on.

At least he went back to the old aggressive, attacking style against United - and on another day, we would have taken those chances and the outcome of the game would be different. But overall - he's been so poor this season. Playing the wrong formation, playing players out of position, criticising the youngsters, criticising Mario, buying mid table average players, protecting the seniors, playing the seniors consistently.
Rodgers says the media 'greatly inflated' the fee paid for Ilori. I think Markovic is a first team signing. Rodgers said in January that he wants to add two wingers to his squad. Markovic has just had a slow start.
well the annoying thing is the media inflates all fees to include ALL add-ons. But remarkably all United's signings like Shaw are "excluding add-ons". Lallana was £20m exc. add-ons. Henderson 16million etc but the media just goes with £25m and £20m.
