At this rate I'm glad he's having to miss the next few games. Pace can easily be a liability in T20 if you don't get the line and length right.
Oh well, the winning run had to come to an end at some point. Still in a good position to qualify for the QFs, just hope that Cartwright will be fit for the remaining games. If he's not, gives us a chance to revamp and go with 6 bowlers I suppose.
His last few have been sub standard TBH. With what we must be paying him, he must do better after a good start.
A bit sub-par all round today, left 20 runs out there with the bat and bowling and fielding not 100% either. As long as we win another couple of matches (we've got Middlesex to play again, haven't we?!) then we should be fine. I'd still love a 6th bowling option but we've discussed that already, hard to get in.
Unless Cartwright is injured, Prest replaces him and use him to open the bowling for an over, see what happens.

Yes, it's annoying as I read we were interested in him. Another one slips through our fingers. I know his stats aren't exactly brilliant, but Tom Clark might be worth a go as another top order batter option. I also believe that we're interested in Fynn Hudson-Prentice.
As I suggested before, Will Rhodes from Durham would be decent if we could get him. I don't know their contract situations but Josh Blake at Surrey, along with Ryan Patel, are people who don't get much game time and could be useful 'under the radar' options to strengthen us?
