Great win. Thought we had it after 19 overs. Then thought we'd lost it after 20 overs.

I said to a mate on Wednesday that in order to revert to a six man attack (once we have a couple of bowlers back), whilst also moving Joe into my preferred position of no.4, then a way to accommodate that could be to try Dawson at no.3. And maybe tonight has opened the door for that.

That said, Fuller bowled well tonight. If we could rely on more, then sticking with five bowlers could be OK. But he's not consistent enough - and five bowlers is generally just too risky.

Cartwright might be one of the best catchers to pull on a Hampshire shirt. So reliable.

Stubbs proved how crucial his experience is at the back end of the innings again tonight. No rash shots, just plugged along nicely while Dawson was going well. Brevis may be more talented (not by much though) but I love the maturity that Stubbs brings on top of his obvious talent.

We really enjoyed the match last night. Thought we had blown it in the last over by Surrey and then fluffing the power play in the first couple of overs. It was a great performance.
