Wouldn't have been in such a position if Currie hadn't thrown his wicket away. Again.

I've got no real problem with his shot. A tail ender playing with the new ball round the corner. I suspect he was given license to try and hit a few. Any of him, Fuller or Abbott could have easily got out to that shot. I don't want to see someone with no batting ability, like Baker, playing that shot - but someone with a little batting ability, I'm less fussed.

But pick your balls. It was a sweep for a ball at least a foot outside off stump. Surely he could have pulled out of it. If he sweeps a straight one and misses and is lbw that's different. But that ball was clearly not there to be swept. Just let it go. You've got Brown at the other end going nicely.

I don't have a problem with bowling a fourth-stump line.

The problem is that Codi's fourth stump is outside of leg.

I get that there is a drop off from Abbott. But both Currie and Yusuf are bowling so badly. Again.

Yusuf's bowling average now falls further, to 84.

Currie marginally ahead, at 82.

Even Daws at 54 is appalling.

Oh, I certainly wasn't expecting that news. I expect that him receiving news that he wasn't in England's Test plans again this summer (and going forward) was the final straw that made his mind up 100%.

So that's now Organ at number 7 for the rest of the season, or perhaps give Neal a chance as he can hold a bat as well.

I've never heard of Delano Potgieter but his numbers do look good. Been batting at 7 in SA domestic cricket. It will be interesting to see the squad announcement later. Please have Ali Orr in too, but I'm not holding my breath!
