Great game. Shame about the result.

Can't fault our bowling (though Brown didn't have a good time behind the stumps). The killer was not setting Somerset a much bigger score. For once our top order did the business, but then Mayes and Dawson continued to struggle and we threw away a great advantage.

Fitting that with the last ball of the game, Abell achieved what no other batter managed in the game.

That bloody last wicket partnership they had in the first innings proved costly. When the number 10 and 11 are in you can't let them get another 38 runs. Oh well, very good match and fair play to Abell.

Could be. Surrey have started slowly and everyone else bar Sussex look inconsistent. But a long, long way to go. Also, you'll likely lose Rew at some point for England duty.
I would love to see Rew opening the batting for England, but he needs to get some time opening for Somerset first

What is the point in this large gap in games, we have had a period of beautiful weather and not a ball being bowled, come the end of the week and the weather will have deteriorated and probably no play possible, it doesn't make sense and surely clubs are losing out financially?
