I think it is nigh on impossible to chase 250. There is the run per over pressure that you don't have when setting the target. And wicket 3 goes down

99.9 chance they won’t do it .

Shame I like the Kiwis and Indian Cricket has too much power IMHO ( The board not the team ) .

Enjoying the women's auction so far. We've lost out in a few bidding wars - which is a shame - but the bids were getting just too high. Some sides have spent a crazy amount of their budget on a single player. I'm happy with our strategy so far of sticking to reasonable bids and being willing to walk away.

Fire and Rockets both made the made the most expensive signing - at £210,000 each (the highest pre-auction signing was only £140,000) - and it's therefore no surprise that on paper they look to have had the worst auctions overall in my view. It really hampered what they could both spend elsewhere.

Take note tomorrow for whichever team wins the likely bidding war for Cox, because they will likely be in the same boat. He could end up going for huge money.

I'm pretty happy with our auction, but we are badly missing a strong option to bat at either no.5 or no.6.

QDK, Narine, Afridi and Ghazanfar were all meant to be part of the 50 names in round one. I don't know if them pulling out means that we're down to 46 names, or if the ECB will move four other players into round one.

There's been a lot of talk that Coles and Currie could receive big paydays - in addition to the more obvious names - but auctions can be very unpredictable.

That's both cheap and expensive for Cox, at the same time. I was expecting £350k to £400k.

That's going to feel weird watching Vince come to the Bowl for the away team. Really weird.

I did wonder if Rockets saw Duckett-Banton as their opening pair or not, given that they can both bat in the middle order too.

The fact that they tried for Bairstow suggests that they don't see it as their opening pair. Which could increase the competition for some of the overseas openers who I have my eye on.
