Avoided the results until I watched it on record - thought we were dead and buried at 2-2 but can't fault Jacks this tournament so far and those last couple of overs must have really hurt NZ.

Can't see them dropping Buttler but he's got to pull one hell of an innings out of somewhere.

Losing Hope is no bad thing for WI. They have so much power to come, and he was just chewing up balls. Yes they have a platform, but I reckon they're way behind on RR at the moment.

India have been in control of this run chase throughout. WI were about 30 runs light. They were too slow up top, and it ultimately led to Shephard not even getting the chance to bat.

The good news is the pressure will be totally off England in the SF. India will be big favourites and the crowd expectant.

Agreed. They have some great strikers of the ball, maybe they should try something a little different and promote a power hitter to a pinch hitter. If Holder and Powell had another 4 overs together, Windies win that all day long

Maybe, maybe not. India would have gone harder earlier with a bigger target.

If Hope had seen off, say, three of Bumrah's overs, then I'd have been a lot more forgiving of his innings. But he got out towards the end of the 9th over, when Bumrah had only bowled six balls. He didn't bowl his second over until the 11th over.

They didn't just waste their PP and waste using Shepherd. They also wasted a good number of non-Bumrah overs in the first half of the innings.

Kinda agree. Hope had been good in the cup so far. But you can't bat 35 for 35 when you know you need 200 +. Particularly when you have Holder, Powell and Shepherd to come

Any idea why Narine is not playing. He is a real bowler and would have made the Windies bowling so much stronger

The lack of money in WI cricket has always been a factor. Not just for Narine, but others too.

It's one of the reasons why I don't agree about playing t20 matches at international level, for the major nations, outside of the t20 WCs. I completely understand why someone like Narine or Russell would prefer to play in a lucrative franchise tournament as opposed to some pointless five match series against, say, Bangladesh.

But choosing not to play in those matches can cause difficulties between player and selectors, and player and fans.

It's probably just an easier life for Narine to just put international cricket behind him.

The bigger shame is Pooran's retirement, given that he's only 30.

Based on the names submitted by the eight teams, the initial 710 players registered for the men's auction next week has been cut to 243. Not all 243 players will ultimately go under the hammer, but those who have been cut definitely won't.

The top 5 domestic players, based on the preferences of the eight teams, are Vince, Cox, Root, Bairstow and Rashid, whilst the top 5 overseas players are Narine, Markram, Rauf, Miller and Mitchell. They will be the first ones to be auction off.

They will be followed by five batters (Allen, QDK, Rickelton, Seifert, Crawley), five all-rounders (Curran, Khan, Willey, Azmatullah, Atkinson), five spinners (Hosein, Tariq, Ghazanfar, Hossain, Chohan), and five fast bowlers (Afridi, Baker, Mahmood, Tongue, Luke Wood). That's 30 players, so there should be a further 20 players in round one of the auction because but my understanding is that it will ultimately contain 50 players in total.

We've got our no.5 and no.6 batting sorted, so there should be no need to target Miller or Mitchell. Hopefully that gives us a better chance of getting Narine or Markram (both would be nice - but it won't happen), alongside Vince presumably.

Do we have a right to match on Vince like they have in the IPL?
