Feels like we batted too long and batted them out the game. To win it we needed to give them a target though would go for. But 358 in less than two sessions, I don't think so. Just have to hope their batting is awful
Yeah but last thing we need is to lose. Better to be cautious.

This is why we had to bat on in our second innings, and ultimately leave too little time to take 10 wickets. Because if we'd set Worcs something more reasonable, they'd have likely chased it down. We'd have just been chucking away the eight draw points.

There was very little prospect of a positive result today.

Small ground would have made 250, even 300 very gettable.

Third drop now. It's like watching Hampshire (literally in Dawson's case).

Maybe or set them 25 less runs, with 4 more over to bowl them out. I guess it depends on your mindset

Easy to say that with hindsight.

Today was a must-not-lose for us. I'm totally fine with our decision.
Not sure I said it with hindsight. Think I said it at the time.... but again it comes down to mindset, secure the draw with a chance to win, or go for the win with a chance you may lose

But we couldn't afford to lose. The upside to winning the game wasn't worth the danger we'd be in had we lost.

At the time you said we batted too long, yes. But you didn't say at the time that we set them 25 too many or declared four overs too late. That's a far more specific statement.

If we set them 25 less, we might have lost. And that would have been a disaster.

There's a million and one things the team can be criticised for this season. But not today. The important thing was not to lose, and we didn't.

Shame that we didn't try to sneak Craig in for Jamie, and hope nobody would notice. I think Craig would have been excellent on this wicket (not as fast as Jamie, and weaker with the bat, but a vastly superior bowler).
