ECB have requested that we rest Baker - having done the same with Essex and Cook. Wonder if both will get called up to the Test squad for the Zimbabwe series.
 
That's the type of deep batting I was expecting us to start the season with.

That said, I do wonder if we might have recalled Turner to replace Baker if he'd had more success for Lancs last week. Only took one wicket, albeit they did only bowl once.
 
I get that the overheads suggest bowl first. But the Bowl is generally such a bat first pitch. I can never feel comfortable about choosing to bowl first.

I think I'd preferred to have lost the toss.
