Sounds like Cricket Australia have prevented us from signing Chris Green and Ashton Agar for the t20 competition later this month, and that we're consequently looking elsewhere (very last minute).

So Briggs is one of the replacements.

I wonder if we might be able to make it more permanent in due course? I hope so.

That is very interesting. There must be something in the works to make it a permanent return. Doesn't make a huge amount of sense otherwise.

Might be wise if the second replacement is a keeper, otherwise we're really scraping the barrel for who to give the gloves to. I guess it would have to be Orr.

A few years ago, Kohli had 18 test centuries, while Joe Root had 17. Over the past 4 years, Root has more than doubled his tally, while Kohli has managed just 1. Quite how the India Cricket Test Board justify his selection is a complete mystery. On day one of the First Test against Australia India were blitzed for 150. And Kphli contribution 5. I can see a massacre right now unless the India selectors are brave enough and omit him from the remaining tests. Ashwin is another whose time is up as he performed poorly against New Zealand in the recent series.
