Narine pretty much always throws in one innings like that per season. Over to you, Essex.

It very much depends on what both the wickets and the weather looks like for the rest of this series, but I wonder if we've just witnessed Jimmy's last test match?

He's averaging a massive 75 with the ball from these first two tests. In fact, I think he's dropped as many catches as he's taken wickets.

After losing a wicket first ball, Leicester are now flying in the run chase vs Notts so far. That could leave Notts vulnerable from either Northants or Derby - albeit neither are doing particularly well so far.

There is an argument that Carey had spotted Bairstow leaving his crease early a few times already.
Hence he tried his luck here in case he went early again (if you watch it again he releases throw before JB starts walking)

If true, you can understand why Australia feel justified in their plan having worked
Absolutely. Smart cricket albeit a bit questionable on the spirit. If we’d been smarter, especially 1st innings batting we would probably won? Bastards!

Well done, James. Amazing number of 50+s in the group stage this year (8).

Quite possible that Lancs might win their game, but drop down from 2nd to 3rd. Because Worcs are looking like they might boost their NRR.

Essex doing their best to throw this away.

Which may or may not be a good thing.

Of all the people you thought would have caught that, it was Jordan. Literally the difference between losing and winning that match.
