Just seen England are 13/8 to win this. Given SA have to go at 7 an over for 29 overs that is very generous. Just lumped £30 on that.

Cashed out on £70. If it rains and overs are lost SA could get back into it and for the sake of another £8 it's not worth it. I've more than doubled my money in half an hour. :) Bookies really screwed up for once there.

Only the 11th time in history that 400 has been reached in first class cricket.

Will Glamorgan allow Sam to try and beat Lara's 501* record? It's hardly likely they'd get 10 wickets in two sessions on that pitch, so a declaration probably achieves nothing - but then again, if you don't try, you don't succeed.

He's scored just the 2,700 points for my opponent in fantasy cricket!, he has double points as his captain.

Do you reckon that the pitch is flat at Leicester?...<laugh>

Makes you wonder what the four guys with single-figure scores were doing!

It would be a shame if a journey man passed a true icon of the game on a featherbed. However, when Lara set the test record of 375 it was a flat track, even our Robin got his highest test score of 175. I was lucky enough to watch it at the old recreation ground in St Johns

Glamorgan have a genuine shot at promotion so can't blame them for declaring.

Did they have to clear dog **** and broken glass from the pitch before they could start the game? That's my memory of playing on recreation grounds. Either that or someone rides a bike across the outfield during the match. Admittedly, is was usually in Millbrook not the Caribbean.

Good to see that we've sent Wheal on a one week mission to try and take some Surrey wickets this week.
