Say this pair go on to a 200+ partnership I wonder if Hants would consider promoting CDG up the order given that 400/2 within 110 overs would see a scenario that Hants could draw and still get top 2.
Similar to the point I was making above although I forgot that 1 bowling point at 3 wkts not 4. Current scoring rate is just under 3.2. They'll need to get the rate up a bit and not wanting to chase the 5th batting point at a risk of gifting Glos a bowling point. A timely 15 off one over, Worral's bowling earlier did look like they just wanted to minimize the run rate.

CDG would naturally score at a quicker rate although there would be a new ball to negotiate.

There's absolutely no need to force things at the moment. We're ticking along nicely and with the short boundaries it will be be quite easy to pick up the scoring rate later on if we keep wickets in hand.

Whilst it was always nice to have that outside of making 400-2, it almost makes it easier for the batters now that we can't. They can just focus on batting, and forcing a win.

This has a nothing session for Hants. Should be well ahead by now and now Prest has gone. Thank you Gubbins, thank you very much.

Gubbins being a twat is really threatening our strong position in this match. He gets out now and he can **** off back to Middlesex quite frankly.
