Somerset resting Lammonby as well as confirming no Overton or Leach. I'm not sure why you'd rest someone after having a week off but not complaining.
 
I would be tempted to bowl first tomorrow if Vince wins the toss. A risk but more cloud cover tomorrow than Friday and to say both sides top orders are fragile is an understatement.
 
Test match 100 at Lord’s on your debut, doesn’t get much better than that for Devon Conway. Beautifully batted.
 
I'm guessing Crane for Abbas will be our only change from the Leicester match.
 
Balls didn't realise Abbas was at the end of his initial stint. Hopefully Barker can step up with the new ball.

Yeah he went home about 10 days ago.

There's a possibility that CDH might replace him for our final two matches (nothing confirmed). If so, that just leaves us short this week.
 
TBH I struggle to see how Robinson can continue in this match, let alone play any further England matches. Granted, the tweets are historic but those tweets are disgraceful, something I would never have said as an 18 year old. And his apology is pathetic.

Replace him with the other racist Overton for the rest of the series?

This is worse IMO. Overton was an outburst in the middle of the game. And he didn't use any racist terms (not that I'm justifying it, he was deservedly punished). While true, neither did Robinson, he made his comments sat at a computer and it was a series of comments, not just one.

I didn't say anything about one being worse than the other. I was just merely pointing out that the natural replacement in the squad is also a racist. Telling a British Asian to "Go back to your own ****ing country" is a very racist remark.

Yeah I'm not defending that and I think he got off very lightly with a 2 game ban. However times have changed and Robinson's tweets have come to light at a time when we're trying to crack down on abuse on social media. It doesn't send out a good message if Robinson is allowed to continue in this match.

I'm not disputing that. I'm just saying that it's massively hypocritical if you replace someone because of their past racist actions with someone who has a past that includes racism.

I haven't actually said we should replace him with Overton. TBF I had forgotten all about Overton's comment until you brought it up.
