So Joe Root is not such a bad captain after all. Glad the players have managed to win the series in convincing style. Wood will be hard to drop but Sri Lanka will present different conditions.
As a suggestion, is it worth taking both Archer and Wood to Sri Lanka? England will want both fit and firing for the summer so would it be prudent to leave both out for this one?

Sri Lanka will be totally different to play in than SA. It’s more likely that Jack Leach, if he’s recovered, will come in and we’ll have an all-Somerset spin attack.
End of 2018, we won all three tests in our last trip to SL.
(God knows why we're going back again so soon, btw.)
