He's already been nominated for New Zealander of the year
I just happened to flick through Radio 5 and heard a few seconds at the end of AFCB v Man City, and stayed to hear a bit of the cricket. Of course, passing interest usually, but totally hooked as the runs started to come down and pundits started to ask if it was possible.
Does football ever have the level of genuine suspense of cricket at it's best? I don't think it gets close.

Did I watch it? Did I hell! Turned it off when the 4th wicket went down and re-joined it for the 4 that won it. I miss so much good stuff through cowardice.

Terrific performance, but England need to go on and win the Ashes now so that great performance isn't wasted.
