With the ones I’ve met, you’d think it was
I'm sure that there will be a move to be totally independent at presidential level, but as on other subjects (such as Saints players, Brexit) people who oppose something are far more vociferous than supporters or neutrals. Be interesting to see how they get on selecting presidents if they go republican....worked great for America. Be careful what you wish for.<laugh>

There's a strong possibility the third South Africa v India test will be abandoned due to a dangerous pitch. There's an alarming level of bounce in the pitch, causing several batsmen to be hit on glove or arm and eventually someone got one right in the grille.

Just read about that . Seems it may go ahead , but nothing definite yet . Not good either way .

There's good news and not so good news .

The good news is no team has ever chased 250 to win at this stadium .

The not so good news , is it's the first time any international game has been played here

Curran was fantastic....finished it off when it was getting close. Ball seriously struggling....brave to keep going. Australia looked like they might nick it with that 6 and a 4 in Ball's last over....I was amazed he didn't give away more when he really shouldn't have been on the pitch. Step up Curran...wham, bam. 259 didn't sound nearly enough, so a great finish to the ODI series. Now onto the T20s.

Just watched the highlights, great early batting from aengland but it wouldn’t have been enough if it wasn’t for Curran’s bowling.

Curran's not a bad red ball bowler. He'd get into most, if not all, county sides. But I haven't seen him do enough at Surrey to warrant his Ashes call-up.

Whereas with the white ball, he was been brilliant for Surrey. Possibly the best on the county circuit. And the fact that he can hold a bat too is a useful asset. So it's great to see him replicate it on the international scene, and hopefully that's him pencilled in from now on. At the very least in the squad, if not the starting XI.
