Brilliant day. Seven hours spent sitting at the Rose Bowl watching a brilliant ODI, whilst having an exceptionally fast-paced Hampshire match in my ear. Tomorrow looks certain to produce a result - hopefully that too will just fall in our favour.
Opportunity today to move right in behind Surrey and Essex at the top of the table (with that game seemingly heading for a draw). Or to turn next week's match at home to Warks into a massive relegation head-to-head.
(Beat Somerset today and Warks next week, and relegation fears will almost be put to bed just six games into the season. But lose both, and we'll be in a whole heck of trouble.)
