Joe has deserved that. He's kept things so tight at his end, that they're still more than 50 runs away.

I'm yet to change my opinion that, without a world class spinner in our ranks, four seamers plus Root (and Stokes) is the way to go.
Imagine turning up in India with only Root. <laugh>

I think we played well overall, but without the early declaration we wouldn’t have lost that test.

Tough loss to take that. Just didn't quite have enough oomph in the bowling department, with Jimmy not quite at his best and Mo nursing his finger injury. A small change WOOD have won it :emoticon-0105-wink:

Yeah, tactically they got the situation they wanted: a 73 run lead with only the tail to beat, and plenty of overs in which to do so. Hard to ask for much more than that, just couldn't get the wickets.
