So a 48 run lead for Surrey. Unfortunately we all know how it's going to go, at least 2 or 3 wickets down for Essex tonight I'd expect. It seems destined to be Surrey's year I'm afraid - every time they're in trouble they find somebody to dig them out of the hole.
Not the first time he has done that for Surrey. Just the perfect player to have in the lower middle order, batting with the tail. It's why I'm so supportive of Donald at 7 for us. Over time, I could see him doing that sort of thing on a semi-regularly basis.
I wonder if Kyle has been told to just give the strike to Fuller and let him slog for another 5 overs or so, or whether they're both going to hit out
I can't see us winning this match unless we get them to FO. And the bigger our score, the bigger the FO target. Before those two wickets, I wouldn't have even been contemplating declaring tonight.
Always felt like a desperate move by Essex to send a nightwatchman out against the new ball and a couple of experienced bowlers. He never really had a chance.
Will we enforce the follow on? It looks like the most sensible option, especially if we get the next two wickets very cheaply
