It doesn't make up for our horrendous death bowling against them in the SF last year. But wow we've bowled well at the death here. Great fightback to win.

    Tomorrow night is massive.

I feel sorry for Ellis that he doesn't have the number of wickets for us that his bowling deserves. He regularly keeps it tight, despite bowling some of the most important overs.

No chance is anyone qualifying with 14 points imo.

15 points is touch and go - but in any event, only Essex can finish on that unless there are some ties or wash-outs.

16 points is almost certainly the target, at least for the rest of us. And even then, it might take 16 points and a good NRR.

Tonight's match showed me why I love the T20 format as opposed to The Hundred. Those extra 20 balls per innings make for a much more nuanced game IMO and almost any match situation can be turned around by a couple of good overs from the batting or fielding team.

Not many would've given us or Sussex much of a chance with 6 overs left tonight.

Similar. Also I just can’t engage with effectively franchised players at MY ground.

Magic, the BBC website lists Glos v Hants as being played in 'Seat Unique Stadium, Bristol'. The forecast for Bristol is a low(ish) chance of rain this evening (21% to 38%). Whether or not you believe the BBC forecast (There won't be a hurricane), and what a % chance of rain actually means, is down to you. What could possibly go wrong? <whistle>

91-6 at tea. I was thinking about watching after but don't want to jinx the recovery.

It's a tricky one! The recovery is amazing, and still continuing, but you know that as soon as you start watching, England will revert to type and we'll lose our last wickets for four runs. I suggest that you follow things via the BBC web site text

Looking at Gloucs' home games so far, it's impossible to gauge what's a good score. Two washed out matches, one rain reduced match, one limp performance by Kent. So that only leaves the 193-7 which they made vs Sussex, with Sussex getting nowhere close (152-8).

I don't think it's the end of the world if the rain does come later and it's washed out. We'll need to beat them in at least one of these two games anyway. So if there's a wash out to go with that, a 3-1 points haul is still good.
