Yep. Not only are Patel and Gregory both great finishers, but also Payne and Milnes are not in the same league at the death as Wahab in the first innings. 10 balls and six wickets is a very comfortable win in this format.
Four wins out of five is very impressive. Two more wins is almost certain to put them into the final. Whether that be two more wins in the group (to win the group), or one more win in the group (to finish 2nd or 3rd) and then a win in the eliminator. Even just one more win might do it (but unlikely).
As you predicted, the Fire are a damp squib without Bairstow. And they need at least 2 decent bowlers to back up Qais Ahmad.
What is with the England batsmen? Every time they look as though they are set to go on and make a score, they’re out a few balls later AND then waste a review. Hopefully Buttler can start to time the ball better than the last few times he’s batted.
Apart from Root, our batsmen are incredibly poor ….. why on earth Lawrence reviewed that, I’ll never know. Absolutely plumb - even I would have given that as an umpire and I was total rubbish at umpiring!!
That is excellent bowling from the Brave. Mills and Jordan World-class, but Briggs did very well too.
