So the Somerset members, who have waited 615 days to see live cricket, instead see completely playable light stopping play.

Catches win matches and our dropped ones have changed the momentum of the match.

In addition to the four missed run-outs.

Appalling fielding from us. We deserve to lose this match on that alone. No excuse for bad fielding.

Lucky for Barker's performance, we'd be bang in trouble otherwise.

Oh I'm certain we are already. Given how green that pitch is, and how many chances we've created, I reckon Somerset are miles over par. Anything over 150 is disappointing, and they're almost double that. I've almost, almost written this off.

We've missed Abbas badly today.

Yep. We've essentially come into this with a D2 attack. And by that I mean lots of D2 sides have a decent opening pair of bowlers, but nothing beyond that. Whereas a D1 attack is invariably fully-formed; very little let up regardless who is bowling.

Holland, Wheal and Dawson can all "do a job". But nothing more than that. Even with no Overton, Leach or overseas bowler, Brooks still can't get into this Somerset attack - whereas he would walk straight into our XI.
