Good thing is the two top order players who didn't score much in the one innings we had against Leicestershire, Northeast and Holland, have both hit 2 fifties in this match and have chances of centuries. So all the top 5 batsmen (maybe apart from Weatherley) can be considered in good form.

I'll still drooling at the prospect of bringing Donald in for McManus, once he's fit again. Would be our best top seven for quite a while.

Vincey and Daws with a licence to thrill tomorrow is a tantalising prospect.

It must be one of the best positions to be in as a batsman. Complete and total freedom to go out there and play. Zero pressure, zero targets. Just go out and enjoy yourself, like you're having a game with your mates in the park.

That said, if Holland and Northeast get going themselves, and last for at least 30 mins this morning, I think Vince might not then bother with himself and the rest. Just let the two of them carry on until one of them gets out, and call it a day at that point. (Assuming they don't carry on right through the session.)

In theory it should just be a case of whether we win today or tomorrow.

Hats off to Middlesex if it's anything else!
