Pleased for Anderson. Well done. P.s. could they stop talking about him retiring....he'll do it when he's ready, not because of his age.
And they shake hands, match drawn. So pleased for Jimmy, and also pleased I managed to turn the cricket on just in time to witness it after being out all day.
Jimmy - what a legend. Broad I think is player of the summer though. Also, thank you, thank you, thank you West Indies and Pakistan for coming over and providing us with great test cricket. I can't express how grateful I am to those two teams for playing and giving us some wonderful cricket.
Not that we have a realistic chance of defending 139, but why are we shooting ourselves in the foot by opening with Fuller? He's too expensive to be anything more than a 6th bowler.
Oh completely agreed. No doubt we'll post scores even worse than 139. If you ignore dead rubber games at the end of a group stage, I would suggest that this might be the worst t20 side we've ever fielded. It's horrific.
The Kent commentators did try to suggest we might have been bowling wides and boundary balls, exactly for this reason. To be honest, I just don't think they've seen enough of Fuller and Stevenson. Double figure economies is normal for them. I almost wish we could blame these 4.1 overs on questionable gamesmanship!
I'll take the point. It's cricket, and rain is very much a part of that. But I don't exactly feel great about it. I wonder what the latest is with Mrs Vince.
It's up there with the Sussex home game about five or six years. Prior, and I think Yardy, were absolutely killing us. Every over seemed to be double figures, like today. Then the rain came down with about an over or two of their innings left, and we walked away with a point rather than chasing something huge.
We've been pretty unlucky with injuries and absentees as per usual, I wonder if we will ever field a full strength team.
You lucky Hampshire fans think you have problems! Somerset will be without Banton, Gregory, and Babar, for the entire Blast.
I see that we'll be playing at least one match in front of fans - albeit all Surrey fans! Increases the chances of fans attending Finals Day.
