You chose to completely miss my point, which was that T20 has far more action and incidents per minute of play than MLB has. That in itself makes it a more spectacular sport for the average spectator, but cricket aficionados can also take delight in the skill levels of the players. Instead you decided to look down your nose at people who don’t understand baseball, which I do, by the way.
It wasn't intended to be patronising. Apologies if it came out that way but I can assure you it wasn't intended.

Have you seen the story about Somerset sending a shirt to a fan, who posted something they liked on Facebook?
They didn’t expect it to arrive as the guy lives in a remote part of Pakistan, bordering Afghanistan. They attached a picture of the guy to the package as an aid, and sent it recorded.
The guy has since posted a photo of himself wearing it, and Somerset have a new fan.

Yeah, but runs are more valuable in baseball than in cricket as a good baseball team will score 5-7 runs per game on average. It is easier to hit a 6 than a home run. You have to hit a ball 400 feet or so which is 120 metres. You can't really compare the two sports. Baseball is like test cricket, you have to be a real fan to get into it. T20 cricket is more relaxed. You can be semi-interested in cricket and like T20.

I have watched Baseball quite a lot and understand the basics and enjoy the atmosphere created, but I don't have a favourite team, in my experience there is more expectoration than expectation! Each to their own.

I just don't get it . Each to their own .

Cousins treated me to a game at Wrigley field quite a few years ago . Lovely ground and great shop , but the game itself ? <confused>:emoticon-0113-sleep

You're being too polite Jasper, the words you are looking for are ****ing ****e.

I've said this before but it won't hurt to repeat it, American Football....****e. Basketball....****e. Baseball...****e. Ice Hockey...****e.

I follow Boston Bruins in the NHL and it might not have the finesse and beauty of Footy but it certainly does have excitement and is 100 miles an hour for the whole duration of the game. You have to admire some of the skating skill at breakneck speed of the players as well which at times is mind-boggling. You do need a HD stream to follow the puck though and I used to strain my eyes watching it in lower definition.

same here . Have relatives there .

:emoticon-0119-puke: Don't start me on French Canadians though <grr>

Funny you should say that. We went to Cuba some time ago and the hotel was full of French Canadians. It may well have been bad luck but our experience was that they were a bunch of yobs, and that's saying something after witnessing our fellow countrymen and women at play. I know you shouldn't generalise but you do get a bad impression of places from just a few unfortunately.

I know this chat is nothing to do with cricket but to hell with it.
