Middlesex's lower order didn't put up much resistance, so there's every chance that we're looking a high scoring draw (with few batting or bowling points) for us whilst Somerset and Surrey both win. Points deduction for Somerset or not, that would be a bad week for us (and Notts).
This is a hell of a test match . My money is on a Pakistan Win ( Just ) . I keep changing my mind , but Root has gone ......
England declare...Pakistan need 343. Unless we slaughter them, a draw it is. Not a bad result when it looked like a loss at one point.
Two early wickets, and we have the smallest of small sniffs now. Still need another 14 wickets on this dead pitch, with the first 4 needing to come in the next 79 runs.
I guess you are talking about Hampshire, and not the preceding post about England, unless the rules have changed.
I have to say, it is often very confusing reading this thread when there are both county and Test matches on, what game people are talking about. Plus the fact that because this is the Southampton board, everyone supports Hampshire. This is not the case.
Well task one just about achieved. We've bowled them out for less than the FO target. But as like England aren't taking 9 wickets in the rest of today, Hampshire aren't taking 10 wickets in the rest of today. Two nailed on draws it would appear (unless Pakistan fancy their chances in the test match in the final session, in which case both results could come back into that one).
