Sorry, did not see this: yes there were some there from Middlesex but it was difficult to gauge numbers, though there was a good crowd size. I am not specifically a Surrey fan, however it is an easy ground for me to get to. Roy has looked good whenever I have been whereas Finch can be hit or miss (quite literally). His timing was superb the other night, however often he just seems to thrash and hope that he has enough power on it.

I was surprised how toothless the Middlesex bowling side was, yet it was a batters day and Stirling also did well.

Middlesex have been a disaster área regarding one day cricket for many years now. I think the last time they got our of the groupstage was when they won the T20. As for the longer one day format they have not been at the races for almost 30 years.

Hampshire having another nightmare 105 - 7 17 overs.

You don't turn form around in t20. When you're on it, you're on it. When you're off it, you're off it.

It was pretty clear from about game three that we were going to do nothing in this competition.

Story of Hants T20 season tonight. 94-3 after 9.2ovs; 151-8 20ovs. Shocking middle order ability. What’s more puzzling is how they stormed the One Day Cup. Still, stay up in County Champ & still a “good” season.

Because the top order produced the good more often in the one-day comp than in the t20 comp.

Our middle order has generally been awful throughout the season. So when we do lose the top order, we're screwed.

Weatherley is just as poor as McManus. And Alsop doesn't have the power nor range of shots to score regular boundaries when that fifth man is out on the rope (only four our for most one one-day cricket).

Yep agree but tonight at 94-3, you’d think the middle could post a reasonable 2nd 10ovs but nope. Just very disappointing, big shame. Still, such as life.

Not our middle order.

It's one reason why I'd have promoted Berg to 3. There were still two overs of the PP left (or about that). Let him have a swing whilst the men are up, and keep Northeast back to try and help Alsop and Weatherley out.

Thankfully, whilst I'm still very much watching and following, I've long since given up caring about our results in this comp.
