Kevan is one of the best commentators on the county circuit. And the various women who are often involved, the likes of Melissa and Emily, have all gone onto work for TMS.

Dave was awful, but thankfully Solent don't use him anymore.

"That was a great cover drive from Ben Brown. It reminds me of a cover drive I saw John Smith play once in 1962 at Portsmouth. I remember it because that game saw two solid days of rain. Did you know that John Smith once went 82 consecutive balls without scoring a run."

5 minutes later, and everyone else has fallen asleep whilst he's still banging on.

And don't get him on the subject of "Shack"
 
Derby are going OK in their chase (just in case we do need a favour from them). But they can't afford the required rate to get much higher.

Don't they? They're more than halfway after less than 30 overs which is where they say you should double your score.
 
The way things currently stands, the KO stages could be Warks v Hants (winner to play away to Yorks) and Somerset v Gloucs (winner to play away to Worcs).

But obviously still far from certain, with so many live matches.

I really enjoy our lot. And they often have someone from the opposing team drop in for parts of the commentary.


I have the match on the tv while working, so mainly just listening. I looked around a while ago to see we had just scored a six. The commentary had given no clue this had happened!
