Great to resd all the comments, England v India. Perhaps the 2-2 scorelind reflects that capabilities of both sides - spells of brilliant followed by a session of Insanity. It shows where both need to strengthen - and that is in their levels of concentration, and performance levels if they are to reach the battle for number oñe test side in the world. An Aussie mindset for.example! Thanks to both sides for the entertainment, and at times high quality on display.

McMullen could be a shrewd signing for the one-day cup. Shame though that he'll be missing the first two games.

In the meantime, we've got to decide between whether to go a bowler light tomorrow (leaving the likes of Prest and Gubbins to make up 10 overs) or leaving out one of the senior batters. A bowling attack of Jack, Kelly, Organ and Neal, plus the batters, looks awful on paper. But I've never seen Mayes or Lumsden bowl to know if we'd be any better off by selecting one of them instead of, presumably, Orr or Fletcha.

What a series and great advert for test cricket

Hats off to all involved, no point blaming any of the players or selections , or what ifs. If anything us giving 64 extras compared to 34 would have made a difference. Im sure we will learn from this experience and we can look forward to the ashes.

Reactions: The Ides of March
So they've decided to play the extra seam bowler in Lumsden and taken the option to leave out Eckland. I feel a bit sorry for him, I expect he's wondering if he'll ever get a game, left out even with no Brown or Albert around. I didn't realise Mayes kept, but it might still be Ali Orr of course. And Fletcha is the other, more senior pro, to miss out.

Well, it hasn't me very long to figure out Ben Mayes is very, very talented. It's scary how hard he can hit the ball for a 17 year old and the range of shots he has.
