Becoming a bit of a habitThat's a shambolic batting effort against a weakened Sussex attack, nowhere near a batting point. We need the bowlers to bail us out again.
England have certainly picked the wrong season to recall Dawson. We've rarely been a great red ball batting team in years gone by. But I'm struggling to remember a season where it's been this bad.
Brown can hold his head high. And Gubbins and Abbott have both been acceptable. But the rest have been poor, and I even include Dawson in that. Six batting points from seven games is disgraceful.
No idea why Lewis Gregory decided to put himself in as an opening batsman.
He did, and Josh Davey is doing okay today at number 2 as well! I wonder what Andy Umeed and Archie Vaughan are thinking. Will Gregory stick Craig Overton in next?He did a decent enough job at it last week.
I really like the idea tbh. Most of Somerset's runs in recent years have come from the tail - so put the tail up at the top.
Holding our catches. This feels weird.
Obviously this hasn't continued. Standard.
Win it? Survival would amount to success.Another reason why it will be hard for us to win the CC this season.
Can we please release Stoneman now?
