By all accounts Stokes is a big fan of McKinney (albeit maybe some Durham bias there). So if Crawley's poor form continues, McKinney might make his test debut this summer.

And that's the problem with stalling the scoring. It's fine to start slowly if we then push on. But instead we've gone nowhere and lost both set batters.

 

Based on runs scored, we've lost our third wicket earlier than Surrey. It's really not difficult to see this turn into 110-5 or something.
