Odd decisions in that innings. Why Evans ahead of Pollard? Why Jordan ahead of Coles?

At one stage we were on for 170. Yet we got nowhere near.

Vince only faced 10 of the last 35 balls. (Which is the beauty of the 100 as a bowling side; the increased potential to overcome a flying batter by keeping them at the other end.)

Despite a great platform being set, Evans, Pollard and Jordan hit only three boundaries from the 23 balls which they collectively faced. Very poor indeed.

Vince 73 not out... next best in both teams was 21. It swung, it seamed, the spinners got purchase, uneven bounce. We all know he can be exceptional, tonight he was so good, in such form..

Telegraph reporting that we're expected to sign Sonny Baker from Somerset. I don't think he's yet made his red ball debut, so he's presumably someone who we're looking at for white ball cricket - which could suggest that either we're open to Currie joining Leicester permanently, or there is truth in the rumours about Wood retiring at the end of the season.

Meanwhile, Matt Fisher is expected to join Surrey. Because they really need yet more seamers...
 
Somerset bowl the Steelbacks out for 155 in 37 overs after losing the toss. Hopefully we can improve the NRR now.
 
We're in a great position here. But so were Northants when they had Derby 79-7 chasing 236.
