Compton is finally back. I'm really surprised actually that they've selected him again. I would play him over Hales as opener at test level personally. At least the best two options to accompany Cook as opener are in the squad. I find it strange Ballance was ever dropped in the first place when his test average is so high, I expect he'll bat 3. Although Hales has batted at 3 at county level in the past.
