Well, well, well. Fidel is tearing through Notts, they are 178/8 and only lead by 192! Fidel has 10 wickets in the match.

Hampshire close in on victory. Sussex will need to bat out the day or chase down 300+ tomorrow to stay up at Hampshire's expense.

Vince and Adams rediscovered their form this season in the absolute nick of time. Any later at all, and we'd already be down.

But without a shadow of doubt, the primary reason why we are not yet down is because of what Berg and Fidel have brought to us since signing. Along with Tahir in 2008, those two have to go down as two of our best immediate-impact signings of recent years.

Tomorrow surely can't go wrong for us with the bat. In only requires one of these two to go through to an 80+, or someone else to come in and score a 40, and we should be home and dry. So the big eye is obviously on Headingly. Will they declare overnight? Will they bat on? If the latter, what will Sussex be chasing and in how many overs? Will Sussex even attempt to chase down whatever score they are set? Will Yorkshire have the desire after a long season to lift themselves for one last day with the ball?

If we go down, we deserve to go down. Well, everyone would deserve to go down except for Fidel and Berg.
