Well done Northants on getting to the final and if they win it, I will be pleased as they are a County that has won relatively little through history and to make up for the bad financial news they received during the week. Furthermore, it was the county that my father supported so it would make perfect sense for Hampshire to meet them in the final.

I'm hoping its a Hants v Northants final.
 
The pitch was a complete joke. It was so dry that a ton of dust spat up every time a spinner landed it in the right place. This is not just because Hampshire lost. I made the trip up to see some great entertainment and what I got was a pitch that was far far too bowler friendly and it was a complete struggle to bat on. It seemed to get better for the final but for the two semi's the pitch was a joke. No one wants to see 130 play 120 or whatever. Warwickshire are a disgrace. People came from all over the country to see one of the best days in the cricket calendar and they produce that piece of ****.
 
A bit OTT branding Warwickshire a disgrace i think Tom. 4 teams competed and 1 managed to win it by winning two games, so Lancs managed to master the conditions ok over 2 games. Vince showed that it could be done in our game, our other batsmen just didnt turn up and our bowlers werent good enough even with a supposedly helpful track. Final was quite an entertaining game i thought. I can understand your frustration a bit - i had tickets for the Sat of the Edgebaston Test and didnt see any cricket at all !

They blatantly prepared a pitch like that because their batting was the weakest on paper and it gave them the best chance. Obviously that backfired but Vince really had to battle and he's the type of player who should be producing boundaries on a regular basis and he wasn't. It was an awful pitch.
