Joe Leach took a hat-trick with the first 3 balls in the match against Northants, who are now 23/6.

A run-rate of 2.8 for their ten overs, and the loss of two wickets to boot (and it should have been three, had Jimmy not missed the run out).

Not as bad as Middlesex, of course. But still, why would you choose to bat first at 10.30am - especially when the opposition have opening bowlers like Fidel and Bird.

Sorry, even worse. Those 28 came off 12 overs, not 10.

This is the big partnership now. Wagg, Wallace and Meschede can all give it a whack, but there's no certainly they will come off (and if they do, it probably wont be for a sustained amount of time). But these two are more than capable of scoring 100s, and really moving up the gears later on.

Northants 7 down. Sussex 6 down. Race to get bowled out first.

And Somerset 5 down.

Northants, Somerset and Glamorgan. The only teams to win the toss and elect to bat. At 10.30am.

I know Sky are saying 220 or 230, but I wouldn't be completely shocked to see 150 or 160 defended here. A couple of early wickets in our innings, and our poor-ish middle order could find themselves having to do the bulk of the work. Plus, I think we really should have had more than three wickets by now.

6 down. Glamorgan started this season with a 2 point penalty due a poor pitch last season. Unless we chase down the runs at a canter, I expect they can look forward to starting next season with a 2 point penalty too. There shouldn't be this much turn and uneven bounce, this early on.

Not often a spinner gets a wicket caught at second slip in a one day game in the 31st over.

I'm starting to really worry about our run chase. Hopefully Carberry will smash a few early, and Adams just gently sees himself, and us, through the innings.
