Listening to Cooks press conference it would seem that Moeen is pretty much OK, just precautionary stuff which press elevate to def injury status. I hope that Moeen plays as he was an important component in a near faultless team performance in Cardiff. Rashid is a pretty decent standby if he doesnt make it though.

Its a crazy flat wicket that the England management have asked the groundsman to prepare, and any half decent team would bat all day on it ! Daft, they should have went with the wicket that England played NZ on recently at Lords, as our attack would have proffed as much as the Aussies. If England bat well then this test is destined for a draw, which is maybe what they were angling for, if so this is not in the spirit of the new attacking England type of cricket. If we dont bat well then the Aussies are in the box seat. But it aint all over yet people.

It all depends on how long the Aussies can bat for. If they get 600+ they stand a good chance of bowling us out twice, but if we can break through tomorrow, who knows?

I think that the Aussies will get a huge lead , it will come down to our batters being able to get into " Grind out a draw " mode and get out of " Attack mode " .

Personally i think England bowled & fielded fairly well yesterday and did pretty well to keep them down to 337 ! Broad in particular bowled some really good balls and on anther day could have gad a few wickets. Still think the Aussies will get a really big 1st innings score, but if England apply themselves they should be able to prevent them from taking 20 wickets on this pitch.
